Bioremediation Tofu Liquid Waste Based on Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) Parameters
نویسندگان
چکیده
Background and Objective: The majority of liquid waste generated by the tofu industry in Semarang exceeds recommended limit. This condition disturbs ecology surrounding environment. so a solution is needed to manage it. use bacteria bioremediation technology has been proven reduce pollutants produced industry. purpose this study was identify specific test their ability bioremediate from wastewater using Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) parameter.
Methodology: exploratory experimental nature, with variable degradative degrading industrial based on COD parameters. Bacterial identification performed 16S-rRNA Gene Analysis method, genomic DNA extraction Quick-DNA Miniprep Kit, PCR amplification, bi-directional sequencing.
Results: results selected show that they are molecules type nucleic acid query length 1394. lineage report 93% phylogenetic tree as Bacillus subtilis, Bioremediation shows can be degraded. degradation percentage 17%.
Conclusion: subtillis, bacterium degrades wastewater, found an indigenous bacteria.

Pecan shell-based granular activated carbon for treatment of chemical oxygen demand (COD) in municipal wastewater.
The present investigation was undertaken to compare the adsorption efficiency of pecan shell-based granular activated carbon with the adsorption efficiency of the commercial carbon Filtrasorb 200 with respect to uptake of the organic components responsible for the chemical oxygen demand (COD) of municipal wastewater. Adsorption efficiencies for these two sets of carbons (experimental and commer...

To rapidly determine the pollution extent of wastewater, the calibration models were established for determination of Chemical Oxygen Demand and Biological Oxygen Demand in wastewater by partial least squares and near infrared spectrometry of 120 samples. Spectral data preprocessing and outliers’ diagnosis were also discussed. Correlation coefficients of the models were 0.9542 and 0.9652, and t...
متن کاملDetermination of Inert Chemical Oxygen Demand (cod) Fractions of Cumhuriyet University Wastewater
Some amounts of inert products are given into environment due to biological degradation of substrate in activated sludge system. The effluent of biological wastewater treatment consists of inert substrate in influent flow, soluble microbial products and non degradable or slowly degradable organic products. Soluble inert COD (SI) must be determined for discharge standards since it did not give a...
متن کاملWO3/W Nanopores Sensor for Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) Determination under Visible Light
A sensor of a WO3 nanopores electrode combined with a thin layer reactor was proposed to develop a Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) determination method and solve the problem that the COD values are inaccurately determined by the standard method. The visible spectrum, e.g., 420 nm, could be used as light source in the sensor we developed, which represents a breakthrough by limiting of UV light sour...
متن کاملRemoving Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) Assay Interference from Landfill Leachate Treated with Fenton’s Reagents
approved:_____________________________________________________ Tyler Radniecki Incompatibility between Fenton’s Reagents and a potassium dichromate COD test provides interference that prevent accurate measurements of the concentration of organics from oxidized samples. Several treatment options were tested to remove this interference. Oxidation of reagents was eliminated as a potential method f...
